- From Nottingham:
- Leave Nottingham on the A606 towards Melton Mowbray
- Cross the A46 (at roundabout) staying on the A606
- Having passed through Hickling Pastures, Upper Broughton and Nether Broughton
- Turn right on to <Six Hills Lane>
- Take the left turn signposted <Wartnaby>
- Take the first Right (almost straight on due to road bending to the left) in to the village of Wartnaby

- From Leicester:
- Leave Leicester on the A607 towards Melton Mowbray
- At the <Hobby Horse> roundabout join the A46 towards Newark (Melton A607)
- Stay on the A46 (ignoring the A607 turn)
- Take the <Six Hills> exit (3rd after the A607) signposted <Loughborough, Burton on the Wolds> at the Six Hills Hotel (large black and white pub & hotel on left), follow slip road round to the left to T-junction.
- Turn Left towards Melton Mowbray and Ragdale on to the b676.
- At staggered cross-roads go straight over towards Grimston and Wartnaby. B676
- After about 2.5 miles turn right signposted <Wartnaby>
- Take the first Right (almost straight on due to road bending to the left) in to the village of Wartnaby

- From Derby:
- Leave Derby on the A52
- Follow the A52 around Nottingham and join the A606 towards Melton Mowbray

- Leave Melton Mowbray on the A606 towards Nottingham
- Go through <Ab Kettleby> and take the next left B676 <Six Hills Lane>
- Take the left turn signposted <Wartnaby>
